Mid-Autumn Festival, one of the most popular and important festivals in Hong Kong, traditionally falls on the 15th day of the lunar calendar’s 8th month when families gather together to enjoy a feast, share mooncakes, admire the full moon, light lanterns, and exchange gifts. It falls on September 10th this year and the following day after Mid-Autumn is a public holiday in HK.
